Child development studies have identified that during the formation of parenting children 4 models are imposed, these are authoritarian, permissive, democratic and non-emotional.
These four parenting styles are
Authoritarian: how parenting can be very rigid and strict. Parents who practice this style of parenting have a strict set of rules and expectations, and demand rigid obedience. If the rules are not followed, the punishment is the most used way to ensure obedience. Generally, there is no explanation of punishments. The "Because I said so" is a typical response when the authority is questioned. Children raised in an authoritarian household are less cheerful, taciturn and increasingly vulnerable to stress. In many cases, these children also showed a passive hostility.
Democratic: based on positive reinforcement and infrequent use of punishment. Parents are more aware of the feelings of a child and its capabilities, so they tend to facilitate the development of children's autonomy within reasonable limits. In this style of parenting there is an atmosphere of giving and receiving based on communication between parents and children. In the democratic style of parenting negotiation process both to establish controls to receive mutual support is observed. Research shows that this style is more beneficial.

Permissive: or indulgent becomes popular every day and often confused permissiveness with affection. In these familiar surroundings of a child freedom and autonomy they are valued and parents tend to rely primarily on reasoning and explanation. There tends to be little or no punishment, and there are no clear rules, so that children tend to be free from external constraints. Children of permissive parents tend to have low levels of self-control and self-confidence because they lack a structure at home.
No Emotional: happens when parents are often absent emotionally and sometimes physically. Lack of affection and regularly have no communication. They do not respond to the needs of the child and do not demand anything of them in their expectations of behavior. They provide everything the child needs to survive with little or no commitment. The children of parents show no emotional difficulties in social competence, academic achievement, psycho-social development and behavior problems.
Raising children is hard work that requires patience, commitment and love. But what we can assure you are that if you have those three factors cannot get it wrong. The limits with love help form the personality of our child and facilitate autonomy and security in their development.
